Pre-Press-Ser­vices GmbH is a spin-out of Rheinis­che Post Me­dia Group with many years’ ex­pe­ri­ence in the pro­duc­tion of news­pa­pers, mag­a­zines and books. Since 2009, the com­pa­ny has no longer planned and pro­duced ex­clu­sive­ly for Rheinis­che Post, in­stead it al­so takes on the pre-prints of print­ing pro­jects in a wide range of for­mats, in­clud­ing for nu­mer­ous ex­ter­nal cus­tomers. The com­mer­cial ad­ver­tis­ing pro­cess and in­serts ser­vices were added to the port­fo­lio in 2014.

Pre-Press-Ser­vices plans and pro­duces dai­ly pa­pers, ad­ver­tis­ing leaflets, spe­cial prints, pre-prints and mag­a­zines for its cus­tomers, from page set­up to send­ing or­ders to the print shop. “We there­fore as­sist with or­ders from start to print, pay­ing spe­cial at­ten­tion to the in­di­vid­u­al re­quire­ments and wish­es of our cus­tomers re­gard­ing place­ments, book struc­tures and prod­uct rules through­out all of the work steps,” com­ments Stephan Garre, Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor. The com­pa­ny’s team of around 70 em­ploy­ees is cur­rent­ly work­ing on the lay­outs of six mag­a­zine ti­tles, plans more than 138 news­pa­per and ad­ver­tis­ing leaflet is­sues per day, pro­cess­es over 3,500 ad­ver­tis­ing pages per week and sends more than 41,000 pages per month to print shops.

Both tech­ni­cal ser­vices and the com­mer­cial pro­cess­ing of in­serts, print and on­line ad­ver­tis­ing are in good hands at Pre-Press-Ser­vices. The com­pa­ny’s ser­vices in­clude set­ting up, main­tain­ing, de­vel­op­ing and op­ti­mis­ing all sys­tems in­volved, from record­ing or­ders to in­voic­ing and in­clu­sion of linked pro­cess­es and sys­tems and their re­quire­ments.

The com­pa­ny al­so pro­duces in­serts. In ad­di­tion to tra­di­tion­al in­serts such as print­ed brochures and spe­cial pub­li­ca­tions, the ser­vice provider’s port­fo­lio in­cludes full ser­vices for Su­per­Pano, tip-on cards and stick­ers and se­lec­tive house­hold dis­tri­bu­tion. The com­pa­ny acts as the cen­tral con­tact and main­tains the tech­ni­cal pro­cess­es for all or­ders (weight, quan­ti­ty and de­liv­ery), al­ways in close co­op­er­a­tion with Sales, Printshop Man­age­ment and Dis­tri­bu­tion.

Pre-Press-Ser­vices de­signs graph­ics, ad­ver­tis­ing me­dia and spe­cial pages and pro­vides lay­out ser­vices for full mag­a­zines and spe­cial prod­ucts such as books. The com­pa­ny al­so ac­cepts, checks, pro­cess­es and trans­fers ad­verts, im­ages and print da­ta. “All of our pro­cess­es are au­to­mat­ed and geared to­ward tough qual­i­ty stan­dards and pro­duc­tion safe­ty, yet we al­ways fo­cus on in­di­vid­u­al cus­tomer ser­vice. We’d rather phone twice to be on the safe side,” em­pha­sis­es Stephan Garre, Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor.
